Job Description:
*My client, a top internet retailer, is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join their growing development teams. This individual will be joining a team of 20 individuals in creating and enhancing the company's applications.
*This is a team of generalists, not specialists working with a wide variety of current technologies in a Scrum (Agile) environment.
*Candidates need to have both java development experience as well as extensive software development experience

Requirements:
*BS/BA in Computer Science or related science or engineering field.
*3-7 years of software development experience. 2 + years of Java Development.
*Solid experience and fluency in Unix or Linux.
*Experience with an MVC framework (Struts, Spring).
*The ability to configure/manage development environment (HTTP Server, Application Server).
*Solid knowledge of SQL and database design.
*Experience working on high availability, transactional applications.
*Strong written verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to business users.
*The ability and willingness to proactively interact creatively and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Self-motivated and able to successfully manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently.

Interview will be straight to an on-site interview. They will take a 90 minute test that will judge them on their Java Web, SQL, Unix/Linux experience. Test will be pen to paper and a mix of multiple choice and coding exercises. Dependent upon results they will meet the direct managers in the same day.
