EDW SME/ Data Warehousing Business analyst
Location: Parsippany J
Duration: 6 months
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills: They should have years of solid working experience (an SME) in the Data Warehousing fieldand thoroughly understand the terminology and concepts related to it. Must have strong knowledge of ETL and MDM.
Besides that, the normal BA skills apply, such as:
Being highly effective in extracting, documenting and communicating business requirements from and to all stakeholders using an array of tested techniques and tools. Effectively gathers requirements, document functional/non-functional specifications, Context diagrams, use cases, wireframes, business process flows, and writes user acceptance test scripts & take minutes during all project related meetings.
The BA should be a subject matter expert (SME) in the discipline assigned to so as to be able to explain and understand the complexities and intricacies of all applications and components from business and "logical" solution perspective. This role will be pivotal in helping ensure we deliver the highest quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Being a team player with an ability to lead and mentor.
Ability to take charge to drive and facilitate requirement gathering sessions with key stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Prefer candidates with Communication Course
Ability to effectively work on multiple projects and resources in a large matrix organization
Hospitality experience is a huge Plus.
Experience in any of the following is Strongly Preferred
a. Enterprise Data Warehouse applications (Must have)
b. Central Reservation System (Anasazi, ORS Opera Reservation System, Tradyso – strongly preferred), AND/OR
c. Distribution, Channel Management, Connectivity, OTA Online Travel Agent knowledge, ADS (Expedia, Travelocity etc.), GDS Global Distribution Systems, AND/OR
d. IT Revenue Management
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills: Atleast 10+ years BI/EDW project/business analysis experience
Total experience in required skill (years): 10+
