Java developer with  Responsive Web Design (RWD)

Woodbury, NY- Long Island. 

Skype Interview. 

1 year+ contract position. 

 

You must have a passion for technology and a background in modern web technology.  This is a great career opportunity to get involved in cutting-edge consumer web technologies.  As a Software Engineer, you'll build next-generation web applications with a focus on the client side.  Responsibilities include redesigning UI's, implementing new UI's, and picking up Java as necessary.

 

Required Skills:

 

. 7+ years of relevant work experience

. Significant development experience in Java/J2EE

. User Interface design knowledge is required

. Experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD) techniques

. Expert HTML, JavaScript and CSS Skills

. Extensive experience in AngularJS

. Experience with Grunt / LESS

. Deep experience designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript

. Working experience with unit-testing or TDD using various frameworks 

. Demonstrated ability to working closely with design, turning concepts into web applications

. Terrific team player, dedicated to quality-oriented practices - ie: code reviews and pair programming

. Experience with Agile methodologies

. Experience with performance optimization and complex debugging in JavaScript

. Experience with server-side web frameworks such as JSP, PHP, Python or ASP.Net

Experience with Drupal CMS a plus

Experience with Open source technologies
