US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Local Candidate ONLY: Sr. .Net Developer

Client: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES

Location: Canton, MI

Duration: 3-6 months (with possibility of extension)

Interview: Telephone + Face2Face

Rate: $55/hr on Corp-Corp

Summary

 

This position, will be responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of multi-tiered applications in the automotive services domain that use Microsoft .NET, C# with SQL Server, MVC 4 Framework.

 

Responsibilities

 

1. Ability to understand the functional requirements as documented in the form of Use Cases and / Product Backlog Items.
2. Understand technical specifications for the development and enhancements of .NET applications which are provided by the team lead.
3. Receive development and unit testing tasks assigned by the team lead, understand and agree to the development and unit testing time lines.
4. Prepare unit test plans for review and approval by team lead.
5. Develop, compile and test code. Submit source code and unit test results for review and approval by team lead.
6. Experience of working in an offshore delivery environment following either the RUP or Agile development methodology.
7. Address issues as they arise during the QA stage.
8. Address "hot fixes" as they arise during the UAT stage at high priority.
9. Address "hot fixes" as they arise in production at the highest priority.

 

Performance Measures

 

1. Client satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
2. Clarity and integrity of code and in-line documentation as demonstrated by effective delivery and client acceptance of applications.
3. Success of the overall development project, as indicated by the timeliness of deliverables and the quality of code delivered (or number of "hot fixes" necessary after migration to QA, UAT and production).

 

Education

 

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent is required.

 

Experience / Prerequisites

 

1. Required – Around 5-7 years' experience in analysis, design and development of window & Web-based, multi-tiered applications with relational databases such as SQL Server 2008.
2. Required - Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, C#, ASP.net using VS.net 2012, AJAX, JQuery, Database using Entity framework, WCF / RESTFul Web services, WPF, MVC 4 Framework, XSL / XML.
3. Required – Knowledge of SDLC and practical experience in SRS development, design documents and actual development.
4. Preferable - Experience in using UML (Enterprise Architect) and/or other system specification/design techniques, Version control using TFS and Release Management systems.
5. Excellent communication skills are a key requirement.
6. Experience working with Bluetooth devices is a plus.
7. Experience working with tablet based devices such as Windows, Android or iOS is a plus.
