Job Title: Python Developer with SQL experience - Remote process

Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6Months

Description:

We are looking for an immediate development resource capable of working with a performance-driven digital marketing agency where data is at our core.

We implement, track and report on sophisticated web and mobile marketing programs by integrating web analytics with CRM, CMS and offline systems. We need a developer to help us build tools to connect to these systems and export, transform, and load the data into a central, in-house repository where it can be consumed by reporting tools like tableau.

In addition, you will assist our analytics team with the on-boarding of new and prospective clients by assembling the initial data imports, and/or refreshing data for existing ones.

This is an ideal opportunity for a developer with the necessary core development and database skillsets and experience to work in a high-energy, dynamic environment that fosters creativity and invites innovation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

You'll need to have strong programming skills - we primarily use Python and SQL to do load and cleanse data.

Data is our lifeblood, so databases and SQL scripting are crucial. Familiarity with ETL operations is essential.

A solid understanding of relational databases, and have knowledge of good database design, practices, and optimization is important. Experience with BI, data warehouse, and/or NoSQL would be a major plus.

You'll need to be comfortable with Linux - we mostly use Linux on AWS as well as a variety of Windows and Mac OS X systems

Experience with Git as a Source Control System is a must

Build automation and devops is a huge plus

Basic web dev skills are desirable, but need not be extensive - XHTML, CSS, and Javascript

Big Data systems experience with Hadoop, MapReduce is a huge plus
