Position: Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Mandatory Skills (MANDATORY)

Oracle PL/SQL, the ability to work independently, and derive and lead recommendation and solutions

 

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position are to design, develop and integrate data from various upstream data sources into a consolidated Integrated Data Store.

• Translate business, and functional requirements into documented technical specifications.
• Utilize development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
• Facilitate/lead reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of  the technical team, communicating design, requirements,feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team and development lead.
• Develop application support documentation as required by the application support teams for acceptance of systems changes into production.

 

Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 7+ Years of current Hands-on Application Development Experience
• Minimum 6+ years of current Hands-on Oracle development(PL/SQL) experience with Min. of 3 years on Oracle 10g, 11g. The candidate must be an expert developing complex PL/SQL queries on the Oracle platform.
• Experience in data architecture and logical data modeling
• Expertise in performance tuning concepts and practices involving large-scale complex databases; experience in SQL optimization techniques
• Has acted as lead developer on at least one project impacting multiple business units and provided technical leadership for at least 3 developers.
• Has experience mentoring other members of technical/development staff.
• UNIX Shell Scripting (AIX) expertise, the candidate should have hands-on knowledge of how to create script filesdesigning and developing complex and high-performance ETL solutions.
• Familiarity or experience with Informatica a definite PLUS.
• Good written and verbal communication highly desired.
