Position 1:

 

Role: Senior Java Swing UI developer

Location: Marlborough MA

Duration: Long term

Start: ASAP

Interview: Possible hire over the phone

 

 

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Business Analysts team to understand business problems and create effective technical solutions

• Collect, document and implement systems requirements

• Set development standards, code solutions and perform code reviews, where applicable and ensure development practices adhere to firm guidelines

 

Qualifications:

·         Strong background in designing and developing Eclipse RCP Java based applications and plug-ins (at least 3 years).

·         Experience in SWT and JFace is a must (including custom widgets development).

·         Solid understanding and hands-on experience with core Java, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate.

·         Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle database.

·         Strong OOD/OOP skills and design patterns knowledge.

·         7+ years of professional experience.

·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·         Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced team environment

·         Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles

·         Ability to work independently and own deliverables from beginning to end

 

They are hopeful that we can find a candidate with SWT and Jface but would also entertain a Senior Java Swing UI developer that has complex controls experience.  They would need to learn SWT and Jface in a short period of time as this will be the technology that they will be developing with.  The learning curve should be around 1 month's time.

 

Keys to the Position:

·         This position is 80% Development and 20% Systems Analysis (in addition to the development piece, the consultant needs to be able to review requirements and make recommendations and alternative solutions)

·         Technical Requirements: Java, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace

·         SQL and Oracle database knowledge is required (Need to be able to write a query)

·         Understanding of Equity, Fixed income, and/or Derivatives instruments is a plus

·         This person will be the only UI resource in the group so they need to be able to work independently

 

Position 2:

 

Role: Mid-level J2EE with Filenet experience

Location: Omaha, NE

Duration: 12 months

Start: ASAP

Interview: Phone

 

Job Description:

Strong understanding of FileNet and EDMS

•Strong understanding of record management and ERMS
