Resource will work with architecture and development teams to provide expert advice in the design, development and testing of WebSphere Message Broker integrations using REST and SOAP-based web services in a SOA environment. Candidate must be able to provide senior-level guidance to a diverse audience of stakeholders on IBM WMB design and implementation considerations.
This role requires a seasoned individual experienced with a variety of enterprise integration technologies. In depth knowledge and experience is required with WebSphere Message Broker (IBM Integration Bus). Knowledge and experience working with ILog JRules / ODM, WebSphere Process Server / BPM, and WSRR is a plus. Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment with agile development tools is preferred.
Required Skills: 4 year engineering degree or equivalent self-education Strong presentation and communication skills 5+ years of development experience with Java-based web applications 6+ years of development experience with enterprise integration technologies 6+ years web service design and deployment (REST and SOAP) 4+ years of hands-on experience with WebSphere Message Broker / IBM WMB/IIB Applied knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Desired Skills: Understanding of commercial software product development processes. E.g. Requirements management, program & portfolio management, defect management, test management, source code management, and release management History of participating in an Agile Scrum methodology Deep understanding of REST principles and implementation Solid understanding of Extended SQL (ESQL) Understanding of model-driven development techniques Software Development Lifecycle Management
Experience with and responsible for: Provide hands-on technical expertise, foundation, and subject matter expertise for ESB architecture utilizing Message Broker: short-term and long-term integration of ESB architectural / integration approaches with the program's Enterprise Architecture Ensure Service implementation consistency, speed of delivery, and promote reuse through creation of reusable middleware assets Provide subject matter expertise based on past experiences of SOA and ESB implementations utilizing Message Broker. Design, implement, and drive the SOA governance process to ensure events and services are available in a well-managed way to the business
