US CONSULTING - CONTRACT BI Developer, Burbank, CA (F2F)

Title:  BI Developer (not looking for Architects)

Location:  Burbank, CA

Duration:  6 months plus

Interview:  Phone and Face to Face (local candidates only- US Citizen or Green Card only)

 

Job Description:

This person will be more of a heads down developer.

 

•                    Primary Skillset Needed:  ETL - Data import using SSIS is the primary focus, preparing the data and being solid with SSIS.  Someone who understands SSIS and ETL very very well!  In addition, the resource should understand C# and custom coding, SQL, stored procedures, and the ability to get into the database to optimize the ETL processing. 

•                    Secondary Skillset desired – MS PowerView, Power Query, PowerPivot Power BI - Once data is in the system via ETL would like to be able to build the presentation of the data.   Everything else - hadoop, tableau, etc. is a nice to have, but not required.

•                    Overview of the solution they are trying to build:   Develop a BI center with one BI Data Warehouse,  streamline on the MSFT stack, also trying to leverage the PowerView integration with SharePoint so central repository of reports.  Trying to have a single data warehouse/data mart where people can pull from the data feeds on the latest and greatest technology (SQL Server 2012 & SharePoint 2013).  This is an enterprise initiative to consolidate BI.   

 

Requirements:

 

•         MS BI Stack (primary focus)

                o   MS SQL Server

                o   ETL & Some custom coding using C#

                o   SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Stored Procedures

                o   Microsoft HDInsight

                o   PowerPivot – PowerView

                o   Tabular model / Multi-Dimensional Cubes,  MDX, DAX

•         Jason, XML

•         Hadoop, Storm, Hive, HDFS, Pig, HQL, NoSQL, Sqoop, Hbase

•         Vertica

•         Tableau / Business Objects
