US CONSULTING - CONTRACT Req : Exchange Systems Engineer - Marlborough, MA @ 6 months

This will be a 6-month contract TOPS but they want someone to start beginning of January

 

This is with Wellington Management in Marlborough.  6-month contract.  Will hire from a phone screen.  Rate is 50/hr

 

 Keys to the position:

1. Seeking a Messaging NOC Analyst that has strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.   We are presently using Microsoft Exchange 2010 in production.  The candidate needs to have Windows Server 2008 experience as well.  They will be providing level 2 support.

2.  Knowledge of Exchange 2010, Email gateways, message flow and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are a must.  The Candidate should have at least 5 years with Exchange and a minimum of 1 year with Exchange 2010.

3.  Knowledge of Mobile Device Management, Blackberry, Activesync, Good is preferred. 

4 .  The candidate should have experience working in a mission critical environment.  Financial Services is strongly preferred.

5.  Experience in understanding how to diagnose and handle crisis situations.

6.  Candidate should have a fundamental understanding of mail flow, networking and AD as they relate to Messaging systems.

7.  Candidate should have experience with ITIL, change control and CMDB experience.

8.  Strong customer facing skills and needs to be able to work in an open environment

9.  Knowledge of Symantec’s Enterprise Vault a plus

10.   Working hours are from 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday

 

Minimum Requirements:

Job Qualifications                

A candidate must possess the following qualifications:

Technical Qualifications:

·         2+ years of supporting an Exchange 2010 messaging environment

·         1+ year or more experience for mobile device management (Boxtone a plus), Blackberry, ActiveSync, Good a plus

·         5+ years Exchange 2003/2007 experience

·         Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently

·         Hands on management of an exchange infrastructure

·         Proficiency in DNS, DHCP and other naming services

·         Server management with an emphasis on HP servers

·         Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to appropriate server administration.

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Information Technology professionals

·         Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·         Willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment

·         Ability and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical production environment

 Additional Information:       

The primary work site is Marlborough, but the IT Consultant must be able to work in Boston up to once per quarter.  Position requires flexibility for  overtime and on-call as needed.          

                       

Job Summary                        

The Messaging NOC Analyst will respond to critical alerts forWellington’s entire Messaging global infrastructure.    This position will provide first and second level support of all existing and new Messaging Server infrastructure. As a member of the team, the successful candidate will need to be a quick learner who is good at diagnosing and resolving Wintel incidents, as well as assisting to resolve other firm wide crisis.  We are looking for an experienced Exchange Systems Administrator

 

Job Responsibilities             

Monitor exchange environment for anomalies and errors, reporting and escalation of issues.

            • Resolve and escalate major incidents.

            • Process and resolve BMC Alerts.

Perform daily MS Server health checks.

Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of the platforms.

Provide Level I and II support and repair, as well as escalation to the Business Application Group and/or Operations.

Role can include management of  enterprise applications and virtual server machine management builds, patching, virus scanning, etc.

Meet or exceed SLA obligations consistently and on an ongoing basis and allow for accurate metrics to measure response time.

Handle incoming requests to the messaging team from the business unit and other teams.
