Job Title: VMWare Administrator

Location:San Francisco, CA  must be local to the San Fran area…  We want superstars!!!  

Duration:12 Months Contract

2 Interviews – Phone and F2F is a must… NO SKYPE ALLOWED…. MUST GO IN PERSON..  

Need strong candidates with good comm.skills

****MUST have NetApp experience.

 

We are seeking a strong VMWare administrator with experience maintaining multiple environments across different datacenters. Must have experience with NetApp, DataDomain, and NetBackup in relation to interoperability with VMWare vSphere/ESX. Candidate must also have a good networking background and experience as an administrator working with Windows servers and SQL databases. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, upgrading, and maintaining a VMWare infrastructure utilizing both NAS and SAN storage, and have the ability to work with clients to troubleshoot issues down to the individual component level. 

Must be able to work in an ever-changing environment, handle issues proactively, and be able to partner with the client and their business to complete objectives on-time and effectively. 

QUALIFICATIONS Change

Skills:

Strong VMWare Administrator with experience maintaining multiple environments across datacenters (VMware VCP Certification recommended)

Architecture and design experience with VMware version 4.x and 5.1 as well as VMWare View (Horizon View)

Strong NetApp Administration and troubleshooting skills (NCDA Certification recommended)

Experience administering DataDomain appliances and replication

Strong NAS/SAN experience

Networking knowledge both server and switch (VLANs, trunking, teaming, etc.)

Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server

Experience maintaining a NetBackup environment including creation of policies,

Ability to managing multiple projects

Excellent communication skills and follow through

- 3-5 years NetApp Administration (OnTap 7.x-8.1)

- 3-5 years Windows Server 2003/2008/2012

- 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008

- 3-5 years Active Directory

- 1-2 years Linux/Unix administration

- 1-2 years DataDomain Administration/Support

- 1-2 years NetBackup Administration

- 1-2 years Cisco UCS Server
