Responsible for defining enterprise design, implementation and support standards, deploying sites and managing the lifecycle of Microsoft SharePoint.

Position: SharePoint Architect

Location: NY, NY

Duration: 6+ Months

Accountabilities:

1. Develop strategies for deploying SharePoint based in client requirements in a physical and private cloud/virtual environment.
3. Author Design, Implementation and Support documentation
4. Provide support to the Solution Engineering team towards designing SharePoint solutions to meet customer requirements
5. Develop methods to create repeatable and efficient deployment procedures
6. Develop frameworks and best practices for disaster recovery and high availability
7. Manage the lifecycle of the of SharePoint – evaluation, introduction and retirement as well as patching and maintenance

Experience:
• Significant expertise (5 to 7 years) in defining, designing and deploying SharePoint for large enterprise and global businesses.
• Has played a lead role in architecture, design, implementation and documentation with SME knowledge in SharePoint and other Microsoft Technologies.
• Effective communications (oral and written), presentation delivery and influencing skills, especially with senior management and customers on technology strategies and standards; able to create and maintain cross-segment relationships and foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and cooperation; drive change in process and behaviors
• Strong analytical focus, results-oriented and execution driven, with the ability to align technology developments with the generation of potential competitive business advantage
• Self-starter with desire to understand work and project objectives, big picture
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify learning opportunities, improve current processes.
• Possesses a good understanding of IT service management
• Significant experience in high availability and disaster recovery functionality
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
• Ability to identify and elaborate enterprise-wide impact of major product technology trends.
• Has significant experience in vendor management, communication with vendor engineering and vendor product development.

** Looking for a SharePoint SME to drive a SharePoint implementation project as well as define usage standards.**

Responsible for developing and deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating and coordinating the independently designed applications within and across the enterprises. Determines how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, Web interfaces and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements. Develops methods to efficiently reuse existing components. Works with users to gather business requirements, performs database analysis, codes and tests middleware routines to ensure successful and seamless communication among the various IT systems and applications components. Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Possesses skills and knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodologies and processes such as object-oriented programming, distributed, cross-platform program communication using message brokers with Common Object Request Broker Architecture, enterprise-wide content and data distribution using common databases and data standards implemented with the Extensible Markup Language (XML), middleware applications and message queuing approaches. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis in applications and systems architectural design and development, database and middleware technologies.
