BRIEF JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION:

This position requires a process-oriented technical team member with the ability to support an enterprise service delivery organization and provide excellent customer service.  A demonstrated aptitude to rapidly develop expertise in a complex technical environment is required and previous experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and database technologies is desired.  Strong communication skills are required to maintain effective internal and customer relationships.

 

The Service Support Analyst – Digital Certificate Services will serve as a technical resource supporting an enterprise PKI and security access related services.  The primary area of responsibility will involve supporting the Service Center ticket queue which includes Certificate Lifecycle Management, RA reporting functions, RA and CA software support, and various applications to support, as well as the implementation of enhancements to support business requirements and the day to day management of the DCS ticket queue.  The position will work closely with resources within the Digital Certificate Services organization to ensure customer needs and expectations are consistently met.

 

This position will serve as a technical resource on the team and will be responsible for supporting defined service level agreements (SLAs) to include service availability, incident response and incident resolution.  This position will also ensure that all technical changes are implemented following the formal change management process.  This change management process will include evaluating proposed changes, determining the impact on current support processes and properly documenting support modifications during implementation.  This position will also be responsible for the timely completion of defined periodic environment reviews and self audit activities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Serve as a technical resource supporting Client's PKI infrastructure and DCS security related applications.

·         Perform root cause analysis and develop technical documentation for incident response.

·         Work with users to troubleshoot and resolve smartcard issues such as login, VPN, renewal and enrollment.

·         Manage queue to make sure SLAs are met.

·         Creating daily, weekly and monthly custom ticket reports.

·         Enable and disable users for tool and resource access.

·         Participate in semi-annual failover test of the Client DSC services.

·         Participate in Incident and Problem Management activities based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines.

·         Represent Digital Certificate Services during information technology audits by internal and external organizations.

·         Participate in the Digital Certificate Service on-call schedule to ensure 24x7 support of the service.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

5+ years experience managing Service Delivery in an enterprise environment

2+ years experience supporting Public Key Infrastructure

4+ years experience administering and working with trouble ticket queues

Strong working knowledge of PKI, digital certificates and general I&AM services

Experience with Microsoft Server technologies

 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

BS in a technical field (MS preferred)

 

OTHER ATTRIBUTES DESIRABLE:

Demonstrated technical proficiency is required

Previous government or military cryptography experience is desired

Familiarity with directory services (AD, LDAP etc) is desired

Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and (FIPS) 140-2 is desired
