JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The ideal candidate will be working with a team of highly-talented developers implementing our next-generation flagship product. The candidate will implement the designs of the VP of Software Development / Chief Architect and work under his oversight. The candidate will be expected to understand the architectural design, implement it, and offer suggestions for improvement as needed. The candidate will also be expected to produce quality code that adheres to company and industry standards. Software development expectations include the appropriate use of object oriented design patterns within specified architectural limits (GoF), code that performs well, code that is secure, code that is unit-tested, and code that adheres to architectural principals such as “DRY”, S.O.L.I.D., layering, etc. The candidate must be proficient in the development of WPF applications utilizing the MVVM pattern, proficient in C#, and comfortable with multi-threading. Skills listed below are a must. ASP.NET and related web application development technologies are a plus. The ideal candidate considers software development to be a craft that is to be mastered and continuously seeks techniques and methods for improvement and as such the candidate will have a attitude toward a willingness to learn from others and share his/her own knowledge. Must have good documentation practices. Team chemistry and the ability to work well with others are highly valued. Financial industry knowledge is a plus but not required.

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent skills/experience

•         7+ Years’ Experience
