Role: Senior Java Developer 

Location: Middletown, NJ (/ Tampa, FL 

Type: Contract 

Duration: 6 months+ 

Job Description: 

Design, develop, and configure Java applications to enable specific functionalities for a Cloud hosting environment, performing activities across the entire software lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), delivery and maintenance of the Java applications. These applications will require integration of databases, OS, and infrastructure management applications using SQL, RESTful APIs and shell scripting. 

Qualifications: 

7+ years of experience in design and development of complex, distributed applications. 

5+ years of strong experience in Java, SQL, XML and Web Services/REST. 

Proficiency in Perl, C and shell scripting. 

Hand-on experience within various databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL). 

Intermediate knowledge of the Linux Operating System, and Cloud Computing 

Experience in Agile development techniques. 

Able to write and analyze requirements as needed in addition to developing. 

Knowledge of VMware vCloud environment and networking will be a strong plus though not required. 

Individual must have good communication skills; be self-sufficient in learning new environments; and be motivated and take initiative in developing new features for the Cloud service.
