Network Engineer

Burlington, MA and Framingham, MA

6-12 months+

 

Firewall & Wireless experience is REQUIRED for this role
Some UCS (Cisco Server ) Background is necessary

-      Firm understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP Protocols and have the ability to troubleshoot.

-          Needs to be familiar with Cisco Wireless AP's (including lightweight) and WLC

-          Firm understanding of WCCP and Policy Base Routing and the ability to setup and troubleshoot.

-          Perform Firewall adds/moves/changes (ACL/Static/VPN Tunnels) without guidance

-          Understand and explain the difference between Layer 2 and Layer 3

-          Ability to troubleshoot CDP

-          Ability to explain the TCP handshake process

-          Troubleshoot Interface Issues/Outages (WAN/Circuit/LAN)

-          Ability to create both layer2/layer3 vlans

-          Ability to respond to trouble tickets (first line of defense).  Escalate when required.

-          Understanding of Netflow configuration (Sflow/Nbar - optional)

-          VLSM understanding and configuration

-          Need to be familiar with Cisco Nexus devices

-          TACACS

-          CCNA

-          CCNP (not required but desired)
