Title: UNIX Shell Scripting

Location: Newark, NJ

Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

 

Job Description:

 

Ø  Person should have knowledge in UNIX batch/shell scripting along with database and Informatica (ETL processing etc.),

Ø  Have hands on experience in Batch Server maintenance.  Knowledge of UNIX based load balancing.

Ø  7 to 8 years of experience

Ø  Shell Basics & Sub shells - Shell types: Bourne, Korn, C, bash -Korn Shell Environment

Ø  Startup Scripts (.profile, .kshrc)

Ø  Using ENV for automatic environment tailoring (PATH etc.) [Shell Command Syntax]

Ø  Commands & Options - Manipulating Input and Output Redirection (Pipes)

Ø  Aliases (alias, unalias)

Ø  How the Shell Finds Commands

Ø  Command History and Editing[Variables]

Ø  Assigning Values to Variables (set, unset and Special Variables)

Ø  Built-in Variables Known to Login Shell

Ø  The Shell Environment and predefined variables

Ø  Exporting Variables [Input/Output]

Ø  Working with files and file attributes - Working with Directories

Ø  Basic I/O Features String and Field Processing

Ø  Streams and pipes (exec) - Terminal Information(COLUMNS, LINES, TERM)
