Job Title: Jr. Mainframe Application Developer
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: $30hr. all inclusive
Start: ASAP
Description:
Seeking a Mainframe Application Developer with 5-7 years of Development experience in a COBOL/IDMS/VSAM and CICS environment to join our growing team in Columbia, SC!
Participate in team of technical staff and with business leads to determine systems requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development projects.
Develop detailed design requirements for projects, and communicate to Team Lead/development team in writing or in meetings as needed. Assess detailed requirements against Stakeholder and Solutions Specification analysis requirements
Develop/unit test online and batch mainframe code in support of application.
Perform as needed various testing support, analysis and reporting requests assigned by Team Lead.
Review coding done to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development. Analyze application for data integrity issues.
Mentor less experienced technical staff as needed
Required Skills:
5-7 years of Development experience in a COBOL/IDMS/VSAM and CICS environment
Tools - ENDEVOR, XPEDITOR
3 years - UNIX, SOA and/or TIBCO technical experience
