Websphere Application Server

Location: Wayne, PA

Duration: 6-12 months

Interview Process: Phone and Face-to-Face

 

Description:
Provides first level support to end users of specialized applications software.  Assist in troubleshoots and provides problem resolution for deployed applications within WebSphere. Performs the installation, configuration, capacity planning and performance tuning of the applications deployed within WebSphere and their respective server/environments.  May program utilities and changes processes to assist in the deployment/day-to-day execution of applications deployed in WebSphere.

·        Degree/technical certification
·        5+ years of technical experience in Administering and supporting WebSphere Application Server
-        Experience in Network Deployment configuration
-         Command scripting for System/Application configuration
·        Strong Word and Excel MS Office skills
·        Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
·        Good verbal and written communication skills
·               Linux OS experience a plus, command line and OS scheduling setup a plus

This person will be responsible for but not limited to installing WebSphere, installing IHS, configuring WebSphere and IHS, configuring applications installed on these servers and scripting of extracts and automated processes.  This person will be responsible for the "uptime" of all WebSphere Application servers in Production and client facing test environments.
